Just getting started with Pilates, or unsure how to move with your fusion? You can start here with our ‘Basics’ technique videos, including our 28-day introduction to Pilates.

Featuring a mix of online Pilates sessions, we cover key techniques to use within various Pilates classes, challenge your body to try new movements, and help you feel comfortable in your own skin.

Being fused and having scoliosis doesn’t mean we can’t have a challenge! This is a great way to start small and see the difference movement can make for you, both physically and emotionally.

Scoliosis and Spinal Fusion can cause pain flare ups, leading to more stress, and more pain – the spiral of doom. Within our busy modern lives, we don’t often get a break. Headspace is so important for stress levels and managing on-going pain – something we could all do with!

We’ve created these stretchy, relaxing pilates sessions to help you reset with some much needed me-time. We’re here to help with that scold-friendly stretch during a long day of meetings, to help get you settled before bed, or during a pain flare up where you need a little bit of encouragement to get moving again.

Scoliosis and spinal fusion surgery can leave us feeling delicate and disconnected from our bodies. Build strength and stability as Emily takes you through key techniques and movements to improve power and create a great foundation throughout your body, whether you’re at the beginning or further along in your journey.

Through our guided sessions, Emily covers adaptations for spinal fusions to ensure a safe practise and to teach you how to move safely.

Not only will you build more muscle, increase stamina and create a great support for your spine, but you’ll also build confidence to try different movements and be proud of the progress you can achieve.

Knowing how to stretch those hard-to-reach areas can be a struggle both with scoliosis and spinal fusion. We’re here to get you moving, keep those joints mobile and muscles supple on those days you feel a little stiff. With our on-demand pilates platform you can increase your mobility at anytime that suits you best.

Our mobility classes focus on functional movements to help your body cope better with day-to-day life, releasing tension via pilates through key areas such as sore shoulders and lower back pain and giving you the tools to manage your pain through pilates movements increasing mobility in the long-term.

For those looking for the spiciest, meatiest sessions – you’re in the right place! We’ve created a set of sessions to challenge key areas in the body such as the glutes, arms and core – just because we’re fused or have a bendy spine, doesn’t mean we can’t feel a burn!

We want you to feel empowered and capable in your body, with these Strength, Cardio & Pilates sessions we’ve designed sets to push you to your limit and prove how we can challenge you.

Well... what can I say about Em at Build Breathe Pilates? She is AMAZING!! I started classes during lockdown, I was super nervous and sceptical but after my trial class I knew I had found someone so unbelievably special! Em's classes are SO much fun and I always feel really in tune with my body. After having a spinal fusion 13 years ago and being so frustrated with exercise, I am happy to of finally found someone who truly understands. Since starting pilates with Em, I rarely get pain anymore and I am so much more confident with the way my back looks. The BEST thing about classes with Em, is my mental health. After only a few weeks I can already see the improvement both in class and in my day to day activity, and the progress that I’m making that is really motivating. I’m finding that regular Pilates is really helping with my pain management - before when my back was a bit twingy I’d take paracetamol, but now I do a few stretches to ease the pain! Whether you’ve had a spinal fusion or not, you’ll gain so much from Em’s classes.
